Was searching thru the web for good satay dinner. Decided to come to this food centre after seeing so many good comments on this "Old Punggol Satay" 旧榜鹅沙爹 stall which is run by the Chinese.
Stall Front View:
We ordered a total of 12 satays - 10 chicken and 2 pork and 1 ketupat.
Chicken is juicy and tender but it is too small to be priced at $0.50. Pork is not bad either. Nowadays, satay stall owners seldom use ketupat, instead many Malays are using lontong. I still prefer ketupat.
This is the Satay Sauce, added with some pineapple sauce. It seems that ground peanut was used. However, I still prefer coarse peanut and the sauce must be thick and of cos I like the pineapple sauce.
Verdict:
Chicken Satay - 8/10
Pork Satay - 7/10
Ketupat - 7/10
Satay Sauce - 7/10
